LOOKING FOR BABYWEARING HELP?To accommodate the needs of our group’s diverse needs, we have two different meeting types to choose from. As always, our meetings are free to the public and any adult caregiver may attend.

SKILLS WORKSHOPOur Skills Workshops (SWs) are designed for wearers (new or established) who want in-depth instruction on carrier types. Skills Workshops operate as hands-on classes with group instruction and require RSVPs (with no registration limit at this time) in order to assess the needs of each group of attendees and plan accordingly. Registration opens approximately four weeks prior to each workshop and will close three days before in order for us to properly plan. These workshops are not drop-in style. We ask that attendees arrive at the start of the workshop in order to hear important carrier safety basics and in order for all lending library carriers to be returned (so they can be used in the group instruction). Attendees will have the option of participating in group instruction for up to two different carrier types. These Skills Workshops are for basics, and no advanced techniques (such as back carries) will be taught.

MEET-UPSMeet-Ups (MUs) are casual get togethers intended to nurture the overall babywearing community through socialization and carrier sharing. Meet-Ups have the potential to have less leaders present. Because of this, leaders are less able to give in-depth beginner instruction and we cannot guarantee that level of help to every person that comes. This is in an effort to facilitate the Meet-Up's aforementioned goals and create a welcoming, relaxed environment where attendees feel comfortable to come and go as they please. For those who are looking for help with advanced carries, have a quick question about their carrier, or are interested in trying out a carrier they know will be present, this is the place to get that help.

Is the Lending Library available at all CBW events?
If you are attending a Skills Workshop or a Meet-Up, the CBW Lending Library will be available for you to use. If you are attending a specialty workshop such as Office Hours or a Back Wrapping Workshop there will likely be CBW Leader-owned carriers available for you to use. If you are attending a play date or other informal event, you will need to bring your own carrier.
